 Alcohol and Water
« Thread Started on Oct 8, 2003, 5:39pm »

Here's on for ya Pav,

I was taught once that Alcohol and Water are just one molecule off, and that's why it absorbs so fast into the bloodstream. I don't see it in a chem chart, can you confirm this?

ok, alchohol is called ethanol C2H6O and water is H2O, so by a molecule apart what do you mean ?

Yes alchohol has hydrogen and oxygen like water and also a carbon, don't you mean some atoms off ?? But then every thing is just atoms off...

I think the reason it is absorbed so fast into the bloodstream is because is has the H and the O.

*i am terrible at bioilogy*

OK, that was a true question and not a test...so, that's a good start.

I just repeated what I had heard one day. Thought he said a molecule off, I could be wrong. Thanks tho, will investigate alittle more! ;D

You may be right on the H,O part!
